Infra-Red Systems
Infra-Red controls can control up to 12 secondary driving controls.
They are ideal for those who use Hand controls, or have limited movement of the hand or arm.
An Infra-red unit can operate functions such as Indicators, Dip, horn, wipers, windscreen washers etc, putting them within easy reach of your fingers.
Infra-red units can be fitted to most vehicles, even those with Databus or Multiplex wiring.
Types of Infra-Red Controls available:
Infra-Red Control with Steering Ball and Quick-release Clamp
For either left or right handed use. The keypad can be illuminated for night-time driving.
To operate, simply press the button on the keypad for the function you wish to select, a signal is then sent to a control box, which is connected to the car's wiring, thus operating your chosen function.
The modified car can be driven as normal.
This is the most commonly used type of Infra-red system, it has a Steering Aid attached and can be mounted almost anywhere on the Steering Wheel of the vehicle. Simply remove the handset from the steering wheel using the quick-release feature.
Infra-Red Standalone System
This system can also control 9 or 12 functions.
It can be located anywhere in the vehicle, for the Drivers convenience.
This system does not affect the standard controls of the vehicle and it can be driven as normal at any time.
The keypad can be illuminated for night-time driving.
