Adaptacar is a family run business which was established in 1972.

Proprietors Stuart and Lorna Courtney and their team offer a friendly, professional service to people requiring Mobility assistance.

Our Aim is to help those with Mobility problems to lead a fuller and more independent life. We offer an extensive range of Vehicle Adaptations, Pre-adapted vehicles, Manual Wheelchairs, Powered Wheelchairs, Scooters and Mobility aids.

We can provide anything from Walking sticks to Electronic Driving controls.

Our dedicated team of highly qualified engineers has built up a solid reputation for outstanding quality of work on a wide range of adaptations. We are able to adapt vehicles for both Drivers and Passengers and pride ourselves on being able to adapt most makes and models of Car and Van.

The types of adaptations range from fitting basic Hand controls, Wheelchair accessible vehicles to complex "Drive from Wheelchair" conversions. Most of our Adaptations are tailor made to suit each individual client, giving the end user greater confidence and more freedom.

Customers come from all over the UK, Channel Islands and Europe, many taking the opportunity of a short break in North Devon whilst their vehicle is being adapted.
