Carony System
The Carony is a unique, manageable transport wheelchair system that eliminates lifting people and simplifies transferring into Cars.
It enables passengers to be assisted into a vehicle in a dignified and effortless way. It consists of a Wheelchair frame, a comfortable seat that is used both in and outside of the vehicle, and a mounted swivel seat base.
The wheelchair frame is available with either small transit wheels or the larger self-propelled type.
From Wheelchair to Car (or vice versa) in just 4 easy steps!
1. Turn the swivel seat inside the vehicle out.
2. Remove the push handles and footrest and dock the chair to the swivel base.
3. Release the safety stop on the wheelchair frame and push the seat into the car. Release the wheelchair frame from the swivel base.
4. Turn the chair into the passenger position, be sure that the turn stop locks and fasten the seat belt.
5. Store the wheelchair frame in the boot of the car, making sure that it is well anchored.
The Carony can be fitted into most Cars and MPV's, but works more successfully in a 2 door vehicle. The chair has been crash tested and approved and meets all valid legislation.
