Spacedrive Tiller Steering, Trigger brake & Plunger Accelerator

The Adaptations on this vehicle were manufactured and customised specifically to suit the Driver of this vehicle. The Driver of this vehicle has a non-progressive condition that affects the joints,  causing contracture and abnormality of the joints and severe muscle weakness in most areas of the body.

Base Vehicle/Stage One Conversion: Chrysler Grand Voyager LX CRD (Automatic) with Entervan lowered floor and side ramp Conversion.

Wheelchair Used: Invacare Storm 3

Stage Two Conversion: Adaptacar Ltd Custom Build 'Drive from Wheelchair' Conversion

Accelerator: Beaver Electronic Accelerator Plunger mounted on LH side of Tiller.

Brake: Beaver Electronic Trigger Brake mounted on RH side of Tiller. Instructor brake on passenger side.

Steering: Electronic Tiller Steering utilising a Spacedrive 2-way Joystick input device and added gas struts to increase resistance. Original steering wheel replaced with Quick-release Mountney 13" wheel.

Gear Selection: Spacedrive Gear Selector mounted on LH side dash (operated by push buttons to select gears, ie 'Drive')

Ignition/Start: Spacedrive Start control (Operated by pressing 4 buttons in coded sequence)

Secondary Controls (indicators, wipers,etc): Sojadis 12-way Bleeper system (Operated by depressing a button and holding it until required function is chosen)

Parkbrake: Electric Carobrake (Switch mounted in box on LH side of dash)

Wheelchair Restraint: 2 x EZ Locks mounted in Drivers and passenger side.

Seating: Original front seats modified to dock into EZ Locks for able bodied driver or passengers to use. Drive into seat belt system. Electric Head restraint fitted which powers forwards and backwards via an actuator.

Access: Original Remote Entry System on Base Vehicle

Mirrors: Shroud mounted blind spot mirrors and panoramic rear view.

Additional Safety Features: Protex tyre puncture sealant, Firetrace and Reversing camera.
